las vegas hotel commission In early 2017, we were commissioned by the Sydell Group to create eight large photo montages for the lobby and other public areas of a large Las Vegas hotel. The finished pieces are displayed at sizes up to 6 feet high by 18 feet wide.The Sydell Group, a New York based creator and developer of fine hotels, partnered with the owners to completely redesign and rebrand the hotel with an urban park theme. The artwork, we were briefed, should feel inspired by French impressionism, and especially the particular painting, A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte by Georges Seurat.We spent the summer photographing parks in New York and the midwest, and models both in the studio and on location, and then spent the fall putting all of the pieces together.Ewa and I would like to thank all of our terrific contributors and collaborators, it was great fun!
